 Responsibilities

  • Lead Region’s field service organization with overall AZ & NV coverage responsibility. 
  • Direct reports include the service coordinator, service estimator, and service lead technicians. 
  • Develop service portfolio to support business growth to serve current and future target markets.
  • Maintain service estimate tool for region, including evaluation of current service technician salaries. 
  • Work closely with branch finance manager to review completed service jobs for “as sold” vs. “as executed” service jobs.
  • Complete lessons learned on all service jobs completed at less than 10% margin compared to as sold margin, adjust pricing tools as required to maintain margins.
  • Build and launch product-specific service strategies that allow for sales growth. 
  • Define the key future capabilities that are needed across the regional service organization to sustain the strategy and deliver customer satisfaction. This includes both safety and skills training.
  • Maintain utilization schedule of technicians monthly to determine productivity and training needed to improve technician productivity.
  • Maintain (and write) safety protocols for service as needed regionally.
  • Support and review National Service Safety protocols, provide feedback.
  • Maintain OHSA 10 annual training for self and the team. 
  • Drive increased utilization, revenue per head, margin and training from an overall organizational point of view.
  • Ensure service strategy is closely aligned with US branch business unit strategies. Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and Regional Branch Manager to collaborate on shared goals.
  • Collaborate with the Head of the Business and Head of Finance to develop the ABP (Annual Business Plan) and subsequent updated forecasts throughout the year, focusing on revenue per Field Service Engineer, utilization, margin and abilities needed in the organization passionate about the backlog to be implemented in the future.
  • 30% to 50% travel to the region assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

  • 10+ years of field service management and or equivalent general service experience.
  • HVAC technical Certification from accredited school 
  • Forklift Certified
  • Experience with hand tools
  • Strong cross-functional teamwork and communication skills within in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Able to interpret industry standards, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Must have strong digital literacy in Microsoft Office This includes Teams, SharePoint and SAP.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, work packages and schedule management.
  • A leader with strong conflict resolution skills, resiliency
  • Good organizational & project management skills, able to prioritize & complete a high volume of work to specific deadlines.

  • Strong math skill is needed to be able to figure percentages and to verify figures.
