Our Director of Business Development /Marketing organizes, directs and is responsible for all aspects of business development and marketing communications, including development, implementation, monitoring, updating and ongoing analyzing of the organizations strategic business development and marketing plan. In partnership with the President, the Director is responsible for growth, product line development, business planning, customer relations, community relations, Digital marketing /social media campaigns oversight to include, website development, content calendars, maintain the company's social media content, among many other tasks while ensuring effectiveness of various sales and marketing campaigns. Responsible for creating and/or implementing tracking mechanisms to track increases in volume, growth, and revenue by program, service line or geography.
Highlights of this role include:
- Development and execution of a sales plan to identify targets, goals and objectives.
- Develop relationships with industry "key contacts" through trade associations, state agencies, and other organizations.
- Source new sales opportunities and develop the opportunities into business relationships.
- New Product/ business development. - Forefront of NPD and creating new markets!
Qualified Candidates will successfully be able to:
- Experienced "Hunter" meaning at least 3 years’ experience in developing leads and prospects.
- Knowledge and experience in program planning, organization, contracting, and operations. This should include responsibility for strategic planning, marketing, media relations, communications, business development and market research.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business (Development), Communications or related field required
- At least 2 years of experience in a service company (not required, but preferred)
- At least 2 years in a related field (business development and/or marketing, communications, PR) required.
- Experience and understanding of the RFP process.
- Strong computer literacy regarding Microsoft products and prior use of CRM's and Auto quotes.
- Experience with project/program management strongly preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills required.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report progress to leadership, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
- Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to identify potential areas for business growth.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including educational institutions, government bodies, and industry associations.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement business development plans that align with organizational objectives.
- Serve as the expert for qualifying new sales opportunities through systematic discovery of business opportunities.
