Internship Overview:
The Lafayette 148’s internship program provides rising juniors, seniors and recently graduated college students the opportunity to gain valuable experience working at a luxury fashion brand. During the program, interns will gain meaningful exposure to the business through hands-on learning, team projects, mentorship and exposure to executive leaders. Lafayette 148 is committed to providing in-depth learning opportunities for our interns so that they gain usable, real-life experience in their area of focus. All Lafayette 148 internships are 100% in-person.
This internship offers hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of fashion styling. The Styling Intern will assist the in-house stylist in all aspects of editorial and e-commerce photoshoots, from start to finish. The Styling Intern will gain a deep understanding of styling techniques, creative direction, and wardrobe management while collaborating with photographers, art directors, and marketing teams.
Internship Functions:
- Shoot Preparation:
- Assist in sourcing, organizing, and preparing clothing, accessories, and props for shoots.
- Steam, press, and ensure all garments are camera-ready.
- On -Set Assistance:
- Assist with wardrobe changes and garment adjustments.
- Ensure garments and accessories are styled as requested before shooting.
- Sample Management:
- Organize and track incoming and outgoing samples.
- Maintain a detailed inventory list and ensure items are returned properly.
- Post-Shoot Responsibilities:
- Reorganizing styling kits and returning samples to the supply chain team.
Desired Background:
- College undergraduate or recently graduated in a field of study related to area of internship
- 1 + years of experience on set experience (steaming, model dressing, boarding)

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet and basic knowledge of Adobe programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Base Pay Range:
The base pay range for this position in New York City is $18.00 hourly; base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, and location.
