Strategy Consultant, Global Client Group

The Strategy Consultant, GCG role will support Nuveen’s Global Client Group (GCG) efforts for the various channels, asset classes and wrappers across Nuveen. This individual will be responsible for supporting strategic initiatives including business cases, market demand analyses, buyer dynamics, competitor research, product prioritization and project management. This individual will play a critical role in partnering with the Advisory Product, Alternative Product, Wealth Distribution and Institutional Distribution teams in supporting their strategic plans that enable the business to capitalize on external market opportunities while best meeting our client’s needs.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in designing a comprehensive product and distribution strategy that unifies tactical and strategic initiatives, aligning with Nuveen’s strengths and vision

• Support the development and planning of strategic initiatives that help maximize sales and profitability

• Analyze product profitability and demand through a range of prioritization frameworks to create product development and rationalization plans

• Support product repositioning to enhance commercial performance and strategic alignment

• Analyze global demand for Nuveen’s capabilities and identify key gaps to address those opportunities

• Develop relationships, gain significant industry knowledge and interact with appropriate subject matter experts, including Product Managers, Portfolio Management, Product Marketing and Information Technology to obtain and/or facilitate delivery of projects

Educational Requirements

• University (Degree) Preferred

Qualifications

• MBA preferred
• Experience in strategy consulting or investment banking
• Strong financial modeling skills leveraging understanding of investment management industry and best practices
• Ability to rapidly develop professional PowerPoint presentations while leveraging in-depth analyses
• Attention to detail with ability to organize and manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for high-impact work that shapes our firm’s strategic direction
• Deep interest in investment management industry
• Comfort with ambiguity and desire to excel in a multi-functional role

Base Pay Range: $138,800/yr. - $205,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
