Cloud Partner Innovation Technical Manager

 

PCCW Global is investing heavily in enabling digital automation across all areas of its business through an innovative software-defined platform called “Console Connect”.  It provides automated interconnection, data centre to data centre and cloud/SaaS/IX/app connectivity, allowing customers to purchase and manage their access to business-critical data, SaaS applications and business partners around the globe through an online environment. With the fast growth of on-demand and digital business surrounding the new platform, a new opening has arisen for an Innovation Partner Technical Manager based in US, Singapore, or Europe.

 

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Platform Business & Innovation, this role is responsible for Innovation of Cloud/SaaS product features on Digital Platform development and onboarding new partners onto the Cloud / SaaS Partner Network Interconnection globally.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Build technical relationships with key cloud partners and SaaS vendors with recurring meetings sharing product plans, expansion plans and other data to uncover intersections of business and technology interest.
• Serve as subject matter experts to innovate and resolve problems from running digital platform business related to Cloud and SaaS Partner Interconnect and features
• Organize and lead roadmap exchanges, Design Reviews and Quarterly Technical Reviews to create a scorecard for Console and Partner executives to review actions and outcomes.
• Engage platform system, engineering and operation teams to deliver Enterprise OKR set by Senior Management Team related to Cloud / SaaS partnership and business
• Manage projects with internal technology team and external partners on digital platform capabilities enhancement and process re-engineering related to cloud / SaaS business and operations
• Represent Console Connect in industry events and promote the features of the Console platform to potential partner and customer contacts
• Drive growth with Cloud and SaaS partners in service capabilities, global coverage and feature varieties on the platform

 

Essential Skills and Experience

 

• A University Degree holder or equivalent in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering or related discipline
• Certification in public cloud certifications is preferred
• At least 5 years experiences in Global ICT / Cloud / SaaS industry
• Prior experience on day-to-day technical support, operational management or digital marketplace of the global cloud / SaaS products and services
• Experience in leading technical engagement and partnership is required
• Understanding of the basic legal and commercial concepts in Cloud/SaaS partnership and business model
• Strong verbal and written communications skills in English are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively and deliver results across multi-functional, multi-cultural, remote and virtual teams
• Speaking and writing Chinese would be an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Passionate about delivering excellence and continual improvement in a fast-paced, agile global business
• Some global travel may be required
