Work Status: Non-Exempt, Full Time
Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Rate of Pay: $17.50 per hour

This role is responsible for opening and closing processes, ordering, receiving stock, and maintaining inventory control systems of Sedgebrook's Cardinal Market. A strong attention to detail is required in maintaining the overall appearance and sanitation of the Market, while maintaining a positive, friendly attitude towards its customers. Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Store Associate:
- Provides friendly and efficient services to all residents, guests and all associates.
- Stocks and tracks all inventory following FIFO procedures and dating of appropriate items.
- Prepares weekly orders.
- Conducts product check-ins.
- Ensures proper handling of Market cash register or Point-of-Sale (POS) system, including resident charges, department charges, cash tendered, deposits, etc.
- Organizes and maintains Market equipment, while upkeeping the store's appearance daily.
- Confers with Dining Room Manager and Dining Supervisors regarding Market status.
- Ensures all resident requests or complaints are handled in a timely manner, and escalates issues to the Dining Room Manager or Supervisor, if needed.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Basic computer and mathematical skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to understand, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to stand and walk 90% of the work day, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Experience in senior living or working with seniors a plus.
