Work Status: Non-Exempt, Full Time

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Rate of Pay: $17.50 per hour

Sedgebrook is looking for a full-time Store Associate to join our culinary team at our top-rated senior living community! This role is responsible for opening and closing processes, ordering, receiving stock, and maintaining inventory control systems of Sedgebrook's Cardinal Market. A strong attention to detail is required in maintaining the overall appearance and sanitation of the Market, while maintaining a positive, friendly attitude towards its customers.   Full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits:

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Store Associate:
  • Provides friendly and efficient services to all residents, guests and all associates.
  • Stocks and tracks all inventory following FIFO procedures and dating of appropriate items.
  • Prepares weekly orders.
  • Conducts product check-ins.
  • Ensures proper handling of Market cash register or Point-of-Sale (POS) system, including resident charges, department charges, cash tendered, deposits, etc.
  • Organizes and maintains Market equipment, while upkeeping the store's appearance daily.
  • Confers with Dining Room Manager and Dining Supervisors regarding Market status.
  • Ensures all resident requests or complaints are handled in a timely manner, and escalates issues to the Dining Room Manager or Supervisor, if needed.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to understand, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to stand and walk 90% of the work day, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Experience in senior living or working with seniors a plus.
