Teacher, Math, Middle School (EX) ((2025-2026) - Cardinal Shehan, Baltimore MD

The Middle School Math Teacher will be responsible for the direct supervision and instruction of students. He/she will provide a Catholic education through excellent academic and extracurricular programs that promote leadership, achievement, and service within the church and community. The Math position is for 6,7,8 Math - including Honors 7 and 8th. This is a full-time, benefit eligible, 10-month teaching position.

Essential Functions

• Follows and maintains knowledge of all AOB policies and procedures.
• Implement lesson plans utilizing a variety of techniques to motivate, challenge, and engage students.
• Plan and execute an instructional program that upholds the values and ideals of the Catholic Church. 
• Create an instructional environment conducive to learning that is appealing and organized.
• Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
• Maintain high professional standards consistent with the Catholic mission and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Safely and actively supervise students both inside and outside of the classroom.
• Expertly integrate G Suite for Education into a 21st Century classroom.
• Meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students in accordance with the
  curriculum. Effective instruction will include differentiated learning.

Position Qualifications

• Degree in math or Education with a math concentration
• MSDE teacher certification in Education for Math or the desire to obtain this
• Knowledge of curriculum, and principles and practices of pedagogy
• Must be proficient in using a variety of technology during daily lessons as well as enriching and differentiating instruction
• Employment is contingent upon acceptable results of a state and federal
  fingerprint background check, completion of VIRTUS Training, and completion of all necessary paperwork.

Range: $48,000- $58,000 Annualized
