The opportunity

As SAP Practice Leader in GDS Malaga you will drive organizational success by combining deep technical expertise in SAP with strong leadership and business development skills. This role focuses on managing and developing a high-performing team of SAP professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth.

As a key communicator, the SAP Practice Leader will align internal teams, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction. By staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, they will position the organization as a thought leader.

 

Your key responsibilities

• Drive business growth by identifying and pursuing new opportunities within the SAP ecosystem
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of SAP professionals to achieve excellence. Foster a culture of continuous learning by identifying growth opportunities, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes, methodologies, and best practices related to SAP solutions and people management and development.
• Utilize technical understanding of SAP, with a strong foundation in any of below areas:
• Logistic foundation 
• Finance foundation
• Technical foundation (BTP/ABAP/FIORI/Integration/BASIS)
• Business Intelligence
• Engage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including business leaders and IT professionals, to gather requirements, communicate project updates, and address concerns.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and recommendations to optimize their SAP landscapes and achieve their business goals.
• Foster strong relationships within SAP Practice within EY globally.
   

Skills and attributes for success

• +B2 Spanish level required.

• +C1 English level required.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as an SAP Manager or similar role.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in running international and diverse teams comprising of SAP consultants.
• Deep understanding of SAP technologies, with strong hands on at least in one of the areas: Logistics, Finance, Technology and Business Intelligence.
• Proven expertise in SAP cloud offerings and their integration with on-premises systems.
• Strong understanding of migration methodologies, with hands-on experience in ECC6.0 to S/4 HANA migrations.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal teams.
• Comfortable working in a client-facing role, with a focus on building long-term relationships and delivering exceptional service.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Experience in driving Managed Services set ups.
• SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Activate Associate, SAP Certified Technology Associate).
• Fluency in French, is a plus.
