About the Role:

Under the direction of the Director of Outpatient Services, the Outpatient Therapist conducts comprehensive needs assessments, determines clinical diagnosis, eligibility and appropriateness for treatment, offers individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy, when appropriate. Develops individual treatment plans, maintains clinical documentation, and provides individual and family psychoeducation, counseling, and crisis intervention as needed.

You are a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Licensed/License eligible Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional/License Eligible Counselor (LPC), or Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nursing Specialist (PMHCNS) in the state of Virginia, plus 2 years of experience working with experience with individuals with serious mental illness.
  • Master's degree in one of the following fields: Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, Behavior Analysis, or Substance Abuse
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, theories, and methods of the psychological and social development of the individual
  • Knowledge of psychiatric, psychological, and/or sociological terminology and concepts
  • Competency in use of evidenced based psychotherapy treatment modalities
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to build rapport quickly with client and internal/external providers
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR); familiarity with Credible a plus
  • Experience with adolescents and/or additional languages a plus
  • Spanish Speaking (preferred)
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to independently manage schedule and meeting deadlines
