Manager Financial Decision Support WP&H - Kimball International, Jasper, IN

Position Overview:

 

Partner with Key Brand and Global Operations members to provide decision support (suggestions, information, knowledge) that helps make decisions to drive operating performance, lower costs, and increase profits.

 

Responsibilities:

• Own financial analysis for new product introductions/projects and comparing product introduction tollgate information to actual results. Partner with sales, marketing and operational teams to understand differences in costs and profits and take actions to improve
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of cost data for all products. Partner with operational managers to ensure accurate BOM’s and routings.
• Update as needed standard costs/rates in the operating systems (e.g., SAP & SysPro)
• Own financial support of EC process
• Own financial support for VE Operational Excellence
• Partner with SM Commercial Finance WP&H for financial support to quote teams, RFP analysis, and other product profitability needs
• Partner with IMO team to provide financial analysis on synergy projects
• Provide insight on product profitability trends, and surfacing product areas that need further attention
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members
• Support compliance including SOX guidelines, assessment requirements, and audit requirements
• Lead/participate in efforts to standardize processes and information
• Participate in process changes, eliminate/reduce non-value added activities, improve value added activities, and search for continuous improvement
• Seek continuous training/education to enhance skills

Qualifications:

 

Educational

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Advance degrees and certifications in related field preferred
• 5-7 years of finance/accounting experience with a portion of direct costing experience
