Directs the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the organization. Manages the hiring, staffing, and maintenance of an effective workforce. Responsible for career development/planning, performance, and remuneration of team members. Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data and revenue. Oversees the analysis and reporting of accounting data for both external reporting and internal management decision-making/analysis. Develops, implements, and maintains systems, procedures, and policies. Participates in annual audits and special projects. Works with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes. Manages month-end close activities, including assurance of accurate and timely results. Drives change and ensures scaling of operation through automation, work assessment, and process improvement. Manages a team responsible for accounting analysis within a business area. Reviews and approves business plans, accounting analysis, and reporting conducted by team members. Directs the team to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies for accounting. Directs the team and organization on compliance with government regulations and internal controls. Assists team members in the determination of the appropriate process, policies, and/or procedures to be used. Has an in-depth knowledge of transactional systems impacting the area of work. Solid knowledge of accounting principles and US GAAP relevant to the area of work. Typically 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Typically requires 0+ years of managerial/leadership experience.
