Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on our central development team responsible for coordination CI/CD release deployment work, coordination of environment support, and application code production readiness. This role will consist of a variety of coordination across technical teams, hands on technical tasks within code packages, and troubleshooting.     Ideal candidates will have a variety of technical and communication skills.    This centralized Team is tasked with supporting a range of applications in the Commercial Banking Digital area providing both challenges in learning and many technical career paths.  


Drive complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact. Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines. Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors. Assist in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives. Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals. Drive projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor. Telecommuting is permitted. Must report in person to the location listed as the work location weekly.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

  • Coordinate CI/CD release deployment work of a wide range of applications

  • Troubleshooting and coordination of environment support

  • Perform application code production readiness and support SDLC mandated practices

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 3+ years' Java Web Services experience

  • 3+ years of experience with Spring and Spring Boot

  • 3+ years Agile experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience designing, configuring, and managing enterprise-wide Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms

  • Experience working within an Agile development environment

  • Experience working across range of CI/CD tools

  • Experience with Automation tooling

  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels

  • Experience working within a large global organization

  • Experience with each of the phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), developing projects from stage of concept to full implementation
