Position Summary
To strengthen our Global IT Hub in Barcelona, we are looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect to complete our Enterprise Architecture team within the Office of the CIO Department.
In this position, you will balance technological opportunities with business requirements and maintain a holistic view of the organization’s strategy, processes, information and IS/IT assets. You link the business mission, strategy and processes to the IS/IT strategy. The Enterprise Architect is the guarantor of simplicity, agility and effectiveness of all IS/IT products groups across the enterprise. The role cuts across all product groups to provide a consistent overall vision on how the different business capabilities, information, IS/IT products and global / differentiated / tailored offers relate to each other. You are responsible for driving reuse and sharing of technology and best practices to maximize value delivered to the business. The Enterprise Architect is an owner of IS/IT principles and standards and ensures the overall Enterprise Architecture (EA) and IS/IT landscape are optimized to maximize business value while guaranteeing the required agility and speed to grow and innovate.
A day in the life of...
- Create and manage governing principles to guide EA decision making. Ensure that the optimal governance structure and compliance activities (such as handling waivers) are associated with EA.
- Lead identification and analysis of key industry and technology trends to assess potential effect on the enterprise and facilitate their testing with the Innovation team and the Product Managers.
- Provide inputs and expertise to the Office of the CIO and to Product Managers for budget definition and allocation of investments to meet business initiatives while optimizing the overall EA.
- Build the long-term strategic roadmap for all IS/IT architecture, linked to the product groups, the information flows and the overall corporate objectives.
- Integrate business and IS/IT strategy into enterprise architecture roadmap.
- Work with IS/IT colleagues to ensure they have the appropriate information and knowledge at hand to be successful in what they do and, in particular lead the Architect Community and support their professionalization.
- Promote the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce costs and improve how information flows.
- Partner with business and technology subject-matter experts to ensure that the translation of business requirements into technological solutions takes into account the current and target EA for optimal results for both business and IS/IT.
- Partner with other architects to provide scalable and adaptable architectural solutions.
- Manage and facilitate an agile review mechanism to evaluate product group proposals for architectural fit.
- Analyze the technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the EA and lead the discussions relative to future technology (hardware, software, cloud) choices and architecture direction.
- Support the design and modeling of tactical architectures for delivery, development, and support of special projects such as mergers, acquisitions or divestitures.
What will make you successful
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in at least two IS/IT disciplines (such as infrastructure or security management, application development, middleware, information analysis) in a multitier environment.
- Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex ISIT solutions, products and platforms.
- Extensive expert knowledge in the area of digital business and technologies.
- Very good understanding of modular architecture design and their integration.<
