Pain Recovery Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration of ketamine infusions and managing an outpatient pain clinic. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, optimize, and monitor the progress of patients undergoing ketamine treatment and other therapies.
Pain Recovery Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration of ketamine infusions for patients with chronic pain, including pre- and post-treatment assessments.
- Provide ongoing management and follow-up care for patients receiving ketamine infusions, ensuring optimal outcomes and patient safety.
- Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment to integrate ketamine therapy with other pain management approaches.
- Offer patient education on ketamine therapy, chronic pain management, and lifestyle optimization.
- Monitor and manage potential side effects and adverse reactions related to ketamine infusions and other treatments.
- Participate in the clinic’s outpatient care by seeing patients for pre-procedure visits, follow-up visits, ongoing evaluations, and adjustments to their pain management plan.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification is required
Nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider who provides primary and/or specialty care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with the health care team in accordance with certification and licensure. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. Responsible for dissemination of knowledge through instructing, leading and developing educational programs.
Responsibilities:
Conducts thorough medical histories, performs complete physical examinations (where indicated), initiates appropriate lab, radiology tests or other special tests required for evaluation of illness, and scrutinizes lab data to establish a record of the patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan. Works in collaboration with the health care team.
Performs and interprets common laboratory, radiologic, cardiographic and other routine diagnostic procedures used to identify pathophysiologic processes as credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the applicable hospitals.

May prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by license through applicable state board and Cleveland Clinic policies.
