Description
Hill International Trucks, the tri-state areas largest medium- and heavy-duty truck and trailer dealership, is currently seeking a full-time Inventory Control Administrator based out of its East Liverpool, OH location. The Inventory Control Administrator assures proper control of the parts inventory and related administrative functions including:
- Place daily parts orders.
- Assist Parts Manager in processing bi-weekly stock orders.
- Advise Parts Manager of low inventory on “fast moving” items.
- Receive all incoming parts into the system. Clearly marking customer items for quick processing.
- Match packing slips and invoices. Code, mark approval and forward to accounting office for payment.
- Request RGA’s to return unused or unwanted parts for credit.
- Returned parts from inventory when they are sent back to vendor.
- Ensure that credits are received for returned parts.
- File and keep track of all open orders.
- Review all outstanding back ordered parts and open orders.
- Communicate ETA of Customers back orders to Front Counter and Parts Manager.
- Set up all new parts not on price tape.
- Update parts prices for those parts without supplied tapes.
- Download Core Reports the first of every month.
- Keep a Monthly Calendar of Partners vacations/time and department activity.
- Keep track of office/shipping supplies and re-order when necessary.
- Help with processing and tracking lost/damaged shipments.
- File all driver/salesmen’s write-up paperwork.
- All other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing for annual parts inventory.
- Assist in answering the overflow of phone calls throughout the day.
- Assist Shipping and Receiving when needed.
- Keep parts office area clean.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Observe all safety rules.
Physical/Environmental Conditions
- Requires standing and sitting for long periods.
- Requires performing accurate, knowledgeable detailed work.
- Occasional use of hand for repetitive motion.
- Frequent telephone use.
- Occasionally exposed to engine exhaust fumes.
- Works overtime as required.
Requirements
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma.
- One-year experience inventory control.
- Ability to interpret vendor catalogs.
- Ability to use parts department computer system and calculator.
- Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal.
HOURS:
- Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
