NextGen Federal Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Computer Programmer to design, develop, and maintain software applications that support organizational systems and business processes. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, experience working with multiple programming languages, and the ability to contribute effectively throughout the software development life cycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications based on defined requirements
- Write, modify, and debug code using one or more supported programming languages
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, and other IT staff to implement technical solutions
- Participate in system and application testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Maintain documentation for application code, configurations, and technical procedures
- Support deployment, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance of software applications
- Follow established coding standards, security guidelines, and development best practices
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related Information Technology (IT) role
- Experience programming in one or more of the following languages or technologies: C++; Java / J2EE; Visual Basic; .NET; HTML / XML; PowerBuilder; Delphi
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) concepts and methodologies
- Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing or supporting business or enterprise applications
- Familiarity with databases and basic SQL concepts
- Experience working in a team-based development environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
