As the Compliance Technical Program Manager within the Email Marketing Technology (EMT) team at AWS you will be responsible for ensuring that our email marketing practices comply with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, legal, marketing, and compliance, to ensure that our email Martech stack meets the highest standards of compliance and data protection.
Key job responsibilities
1. Develop and implement compliance strategies and processes for the email martech stack in accordance with relevant regulations such as GDPR, CAN-SPAM Act, CASL, and other applicable laws.
2. Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and industry best practices related to email marketing compliance and incorporate them into our processes and procedures.
3. Work closely with the product development team to integrate compliance requirements into the design and development of new features and enhancements for the Marketo and other email tech platforms.
4. Conduct regular audits and assessments of our email marketing practices to identify areas for improvement and ensure ongoing compliance.
5. Collaborate with legal counsel to review and interpret legal requirements and provide guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance matters.
6. Serve as a subject matter expert on email marketing compliance issues, providing training and support to internal teams as needed.
7. Monitor and respond to compliance-related inquiries and issues from customers, partners, and regulatory authorities.
8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our compliance processes and systems.
9. Communicate compliance-related updates and initiatives to stakeholders across the organization, including executive leadership.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing compliance strategies and processes within a technology-driven environment.
