About the role
The IT Program Manager has primary responsibility for defining, planning, tracking and managing technology projects, identifying key resources and providing the direction they require in order to meet assigned program objectives. Utilizes necessary resources and skills to produce program deliverables within agreed cost, timescale, and quality parameters. Plays a role in program strategy, planning, monitoring and control, relationship management, and providing advice and guidance. The IT Program manager is the lead point of contact for the program.
As the IT Program Manager for Cybersecurity you will be responsible for developing and managing complex projects and programs to expedite deployment of critical cybersecurity controls into production. Responsibilities will also include the creation of strategic milestones, metrics, dependencies, budgets and timelines. The role will also manage communications across stakeholders, vendors, network, engineering, operations teams and application owners impacted by the program. Developing and managing metrics and communications to leadership and across the organization. This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.
This position will primarily function as Technology Project/Program Manager responsible for leading several critical security infrastructure programs end-to-end. The position will establish strategic network security programs, provide structure, direction, and pro-actively make recommendations to resolve obstacles and ensure the timely delivery of business results. The position will report results to the Project Management Office for enhancement work, and to leadership across multiple organizations. The programs are multi-year, high visibility and complex crossing multiple organizations, networks, technologies.
Develops and leads complex technical project plans to deploy critical cybersecurity controls into production to strengthen our stance against threats and improve the overall security posture.
Provide comprehensive executive communications, including status of operational metrics, budgets, program achievements and risks associated with project matriculation.
Direct and manage leadership escalations to overcome roadblocks.
Fosters trusted relationships across organizations with technical leads, operations teams, network engineering and application owners.
Develop policies and procedures to support onboarding, deployments, and lifecycle risk reduction processes

- Organizes the work into manageable projects and determines an effective approach to completing the work
- Develops estimates for effort, budget, and schedule
- Develops a program plan that documents clear priorities among program and project activities
- Communicates a clear vision of program objectives for the fiscal year and motivates the project delivery and business teams to achieve them
- Develops key program deliverables as necessary and required
- Assigns tasks and duties to others working on the project within the program
- Effectively coordinates the activities of the team to meet program milestones and objectives
- Analyzes actual performance against the plan and makes adjustments consistent with plan objectives
- Provides tracking and reporting of progress to plan regarding schedule
- Reassigns and delegates tasks as the program and projects move forward
- Actively manages budget tracking and earned value progress
- Proactively manages change to baselined scope, schedule, and cost variables, communicating impacts and facilitating decisions
- Resolves issues that impact the projects within the programs in a timely, effective manner
- Analyzes risks, establishes contingency plans, and identifies trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigating action
- Acts as primary escalator of program and associated project risks and issues to project stakeholders
- Follows and enforces project delivery standards, processes, and tool utilization standards
- Manages relationships with business stakeholders
- Effectively communicates relevant information to stakeholders and project delivery teams
- Responsible for communicating and distributing information to senior level executives
- Mentors team members and external stakeholders, regarding program and project management best practices
- Advising team members on their deliverables
- Participates in vendor selection and negotiation process to assist in project planning and risk identification
- Advises assigned project managers on best practices to ensure consistency of delivery within program
- Allocates responsibilities and/or packages of work
- Build long-term, strategic relationships with senior business and IT stakeholders
- Act as a point of contact and facilitate access to subject exper
