Sr. Cost Accountant

The Specialty/Carlstar Division of Titan International is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to work on-site in our Clinton, TN, plant. 

The Senior Cost Accountant reports to the Plant Controller and is responsible for providing operational insight and financial analysis to assist in developing and presenting month end and year-end financial packages.  Additionally, the role is responsible for financial modeling, analysis of operational and financial data, and assisting in ensuring that operational effectiveness and financial results align with business strategy.

The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for working on financially related projects, utilizing critical thinking and analytical skills, and helping to translate financial data into operational goals and strategies.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Responsible for month-end closing activities and reconciliations including journal entries, documentation, reconciliation, and analysis.
• Partners cross functionally to create monthly forecasts, annual budget, and cost roll for manufacturing activities.
• Manages fixed asset accounting and capital expenditure spending.

• Presents analysis of results and forecasts to management, including working cross functionally to ensure accuracy of financial documents used within plant operations.

• Assists Sales Team with cost quotations.
• Leads projects for continuous improvement and countermeasures.
• Oversees physical inventory and cycle counting procedures.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 
• 3+ Years of demonstrated successful experience in manufacturing finance required.
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel required. 
• Demonstrated knowledge of ERP software. JD Edwards strongly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, continuous improvement, analytical, mathematical, teamwork, and communication skills required.
