Responsibilities & Qualifications

About the Role 

The Principal Information Security Architect is a member of the Information Security Team and will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and enhancing security frameworks, ensuring alignment with business goals for both existing and new security solutions that will either provide foundational security capabilities or enabling security capabilities in support of value delivery to the organization. You'll be accountable for implementing and upholding technical security measures in line with best practices and organizational needs.

Effective collaboration with various teams and stakeholders will be essential to safeguard company digital assets inclusive of infrastructure environments, applications and data. This role demands both active, hands-on participation and forward-thinking strategy to uphold, shape, and develop security architecture while we expand and evolve.

What You’ll Do 

• Mentor security engineers and solution architects to elevate security practices across the organization

• Conduct Threat Modeling & Architectural Assessments to cover all Information Security domains to ensure Security by Design

• Assess technologies and solutions to develop and enrich security capabilities

• Identify security gaps and communicate associated business risks to relevant stakeholders

• Craft solutions that harmonize business needs with security and compliance requirements

• Verify the effectiveness of security controls in mitigating identified risks

• Assist engineering projects across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and collaborate to prioritize product security elements effectively

• Apply expertise in information security and application development to instigate organizational shifts aimed at managing and resolving security weaknesses and vulnerabilities

• Provide security guidance for high-risk systems such as AI/ML workloads, SaaS platforms, and payment systems

• Support enforcement of principles like zero trust, least privilege, and secure IAM practices

• Contribute to the creation of security policies, standards, and guidelines

• Devise and implement frameworks for data classification, retention, and disposal to ensure alignment with data privacy regulations

We’re Looking for Someone Who Has

• Experience in design review of application, networking, and cloud-based infrastructure from a security context.
• Experience creating, implementing, and refining security policies.
• Experience establishing and maintaining security baselines, patterns, and best practices with a varied set of technologies including server, application, networking, endpoint, and public cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with endpoint configuration management tools and endpoint baseline management.
• Ability to use an evidence-based approach to security design and risk management.
• Experience with using architectural diagraming concepts and tools.
• Experience in analyzing, defining, and documenting complex systems requirements.
• Understanding of information security risk management concepts.
