Position Summary


The HRIS Technology Manager  serves as the technology subject matter expert for the effective management, enhancement, and optimization of the Workday HCM system and other supporting HR technologies. The position reports to the Director of HR Technology and Workforce Analytics and is responsible for managing and executing HRIS projects, evaluating processes, building new capabilities and functionality, and automating HR processes. The role plans, prioritizes and executes Workday/HR initiatives as provided to align with the strategic roadmap through collaboration across the Human Resources Organization, with a focus on optimization and improving functionality and reporting. This role leads a team of analysts responsible for driving growth and creating impact for the company.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of the company’s HCM solution (Workday) and associated HRIS technology solutions, to support the company’s HR strategy and business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS technology related escalations.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between HRIS systems and other business critical applications.
  • Remain current on industry standards and best practices to provide continuous improvement for HRIS technology solutions. 
  • Build connections with HRIS technology vendors; utilize connections, online platforms, and other tools to stay updated on new releases and technology updates, and provide analysis and evaluation on the impact to the business
  • Provide leadership to an experienced team of technology analyst professionals; provide mentorship, guidance, coaching, training, and other tools to help support knowledge around the company’s practices and the HRIS technology solutions.
  • Manage the daily workflow for the HRIS team, ensuring quality of work and timely completion of HRIS related assignments and initiatives by establishing service level agreements with internal and external partners.
  • Promote a culture of positivity, learning, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships across all levels of the business and provide updates to business teams on roadmaps, technology statuses, and other initiatives. 
  • Develop strategic roadmap that aligns to the COEs and other HR business objectives.
  • Deliver system tools and solutions that provide HRIS data sets that are accurate and reportable and ensure that the integrity of the data is not compromised. 
  • Work cross-functionally with the compliance business teams to ensure that data access requirements are continuously being adhered to and work to provide reporting that demonstrates compliance; oversee auditing and review of HRIS data for accuracy; works with IT to provide support for regulatory and internal SOX audits.
  • Develop and maintain standardized HRIS metrics and dashboards to provide insights into workforce trends, performance, and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and workflows through automation and system enhancements.
  • Work closely with HR leaders, COE’s and business stakeholders to evaluate current processes, identify areas of improvements, and implement innovative solutions that provide long term sustainability, efficiency, and support the end user. 
  • Develop and maintain documentation of HR processes and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in an HR technology role, with at least 4 years of leadership experience in an HRIS environment
  • Strong experience and deep knowledge in the Workday ecosystem required.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, systems and data flow. 
  • Demonstrated project management skills.

Preferred Requirements

  • Workday HCM Pro Certification preferred.
