Job Description
Role Summary:
We are seeking a talented Senior Analyst to join our dynamic People Analytics and Reporting team at NBCUniversal. Our team is dedicated to uncovering valuable insights about our workforce and providing essential analytical and reporting support to maintain NBCU as an exceptional workplace where individuals can thrive.
The Senior Analyst will play a crucial role in our organization by taking charge of complex reporting, designing, and implementing custom dashboards, and providing valuable support for various projects. Responsibilities:
- Acquire and maintain expertise in systems (SAP HCM, Business Objects, and Power BI), processes, diverse NBCUniversal employee populations and security to enable accurate reporting and analysis
- Develop and maintain a suite of advanced reports to support global and company-wide requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Manage and fulfill US government report requests (BLS, OFCCP, AAP, etc.)
- Lead the design and build of custom dashboards using Power BI
- Continuously improve and optimize dashboards and reporting/visualization tools based on user feedback and evolving business requirements
- Mentor and guide analysts and provide back-up support for reporting/dashboards and system management including troubleshooting and testing
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with Business Unit HR client groups, IT, Finance, Legal, Compliance, etc. and with our parent company, Comcast
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure projects are on track and meet objectives
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science, psychology, or other related degree with a focus on data analysis or critical thinking
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data handling (e.g., report writing, data analysis, research, etc.) and using SAP Business Objects or related data warehouse reporting tools
- Minimum 2 years of experience utilizing BI visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Visier, Domo, etc.
- Experience providing SAP Business Objects or related data warehouse system support (e.g., troubleshooting, testing, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience with HR Data Systems
- Experience with Power BI
- Knowledge of HR processes, practices, and organizational models
- Experience handling various types of government compliance requests
- Strong ability to compile and analyze data
- Ability to set reporting expectations for requestors regarding access, data, and structures
- Strong attention to detail; ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to facilitate requests end-to-end while effectively communicating with relevant business groups
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of data
- Effective written and verbal communication skills including ability to explain data and metrics to non-technical audiences
