About the role

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:

  1. Directs and coordinates relationship building to grow and maintain retail deposits and loans to ensure profitability and operational efficiency. Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals and objectives of the Bank.
  2. Responsible to achieve personal and department retail deposit and loan growth goals.
  3. Develops and leads a business development sales program to enhance the banks delivery process and market share. Participates with the appropriate bank departments to enhance the sales and service effort through the Bank.  Schedules, plans and conducts regular staff meetings on product training, sales and service related issues.
  4. Directly produces and/or supervises the production of retail, as requested.
  5. Serves as a backup for other position(s) and performs other duties, as assigned. *
  6. Enhances career through work experience and continuing education. *
  7. Maintains compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. *
  8. Participates and responds to examinations, audits and third party reviews. *
  9. Complies with the Information Security Program and is accountable for maintaining a high level of risk and security awareness. *
  10. Establishes a good image for the Bank by being active and visible in the community. *
  11. Attends meetings as assigned. *
  12. Develops a working knowledge of the Bank’s products and services through usage and webex attendance to provide quality customer service while building relationships and exceeding expectations. *

 

Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, evaluation and development of reporting staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education & Experience

Associates degree (A. A.) required; three to five years of related experience and/or training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language

Above average verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to outlying branch areas, as business needs dictate.
