Territory Vendor Manager

General Position Summary

As a Territory Vendor Manager (TVM), employed by Alff Construction, you are responsible for vendor activities and maintaining new and existing vendor relationships. You will identify suitable vendors, negotiate pricing with vendors, and ensure that vendors fulfill their contractual obligations. You should be detail-oriented and adept at negotiating vendor contracts, and multitask effectively while demonstrating exceptional analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills. The Territory Vendor Manager reports to the Regional Manager. 

This role will have strong relationship building, negotiation, management, and decision-making skills. This role will have knowledge of property maintenance service types and associated needs, excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Travel (% of work period)

Approximately 100% at sites

Job Functions

· Identify and research potential vendors  

· Develop and sustain long term relationships with vendors.  

· Develop and submit proposals for new projects, keeping budgets, costs, and margins in mind  

· Process and procure vendors and maintain contractual documentation  

· Verify vendor job completion and customer satisfaction/job approval  

· Approve vendor work completion for payment  

· Approve work orders for customer invoicing  

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years’ experience working with vendors, agreements, contracts, scopes of work.  
• Preferred education in supply chain management, business administration, or related field. 
• Previous experience in vendor or project management.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be 21 years old
• Computer Skills: Quick learning ability for new database programs, proficient navigation of communication platforms (such as GPS Mobile Application, Excel, Word, ADP, etc.), and moderate proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs.
