In the role of a Principal Architect, you would be working as a test automation architect, validating a highly-scalable and extensible SaaS enabled Platform, working with internal customers on adoption, as well as identifying and resolving problems throughout the project life cycle. A proven track record of working closely with cross-functional teams like Product Management & other teams by understanding the priorities.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Create enterprise Test automation strategy & Road map, Capacity Planning
• Contribute to the design & architecture of automation projects 
• Building and creating & maintaining Test Automation Frameworks 
• Assist in on-going process improvement efforts to ensure test planning, execution, and reporting is effective and efficient. 
• Customer Facing meetings
• Utilize Agile/Lean methodologies
• Promote QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practices 
• Lead the definition, implementation, and maintenance of standard test automation processes, methodologies, tools and templates 
• Work with teams on the automation Strategy and the Tool Kit Selection 
• Do Code reviews, verify coding standards are being met. 
• Work with peer discipline leads in Development, QA, and Project Management 
• Shadow developers and document the test Plan, test scripts, test scenarios etc 
• Be hands-on to automate repeated tasks and build test coverage through existing or new infrastructure 
• BDD with Cucumber
• Assess the problem statement and arrive at the innovative solutions. 
• Mentor junior and senior software quality engineers. 
• Work with Geographically Dispersed Teams. 

WHAT YOU BRING

• 12+ years of Test Automation experience with at least 5 Years in role of Automation Architect 
• Expertise in Selenium – Test automation 
• Customer Facing Experience is a must 
• Excellent in Oral, written communication & Documentation Skills 
• Have very strong analytical skills and to be able to see the test automation architecture as a whole system and not as individual components and should be able to drive to benefit from its contents for future usage. 
• Excellent knowledge of web services and API test automation using Rest Assured, Karate
• Should be strong hands-on core Java /Groovy
• Knowledge in CI tools like Bamboo/ Jenkins /Gitlab
• Experience / knowledge in BDD based automation using Cucumber 
• Experience in Database testing 
• Experience in Built tools like Gradle or Maven, etc
• Experience in IAM / IGA domain is a plus!
