Summary of Position

The Senior Director, Global Total Rewards will sit on the Talent Leadership Team and report directly to our Chief People Officer. The role will act as a strategic partner to Teladoc Health’s senior leadership team to ensure all compensation (executive and broad-based) and benefits programs align with the strategic goals of the company. This individual will direct the planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and administration of all global compensation and our benefits, perks and incentive programs that allow us to attract top talent and maintain our competitive position in the marketplace as we expand globally.

This leader thrives on continuous improvement within highly dynamic environments and possesses exceptional attention to detail and customer service skills. Individuals will demonstrate strong executive presence and will interact extensively across our executive team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in compensation program design and governance, with familiarity operating within a global environment and experience working with and presenting to the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors at public companies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct the overall Global Total Rewards function to ensure programs are competitive, balanced and achieve desired behaviors and results that are closely aligned to Teladoc Health’s business strategies.
  • Manage a team of compensation and benefits professionals, developing their technical knowledge and building a global center of expertise for Teladoc Health.
  • Provide reports, updates and make presentations, as appropriate, to communicate various Total Rewards initiatives to Talent, Senior Leadership, and directly to employees.
  • Design, model and manage long-term and short-term incentive programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the external market. Work directly with the CPO, CFO, CEO and Compensation Committee on plan designs and influence stakeholders to obtain approvals.
  • While partnering with Talent and Business leadership, validate the effectiveness of plans ensuring market competitiveness, business objectives are achieved, and ability to attract/reward/retain top talent.
  • Ensure Total Rewards programs take into consideration benchmarking of peer company and industry competitors, goal setting and metric development, performance and talent management, and overall reward assessments.
  • Remain current on industry trends, best practices, and compliance that enable Teladoc Health to achieve higher levels of organizational excellence.
  • Relentlessly drive operational excellence and innovation in all areas of responsibility.

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 10 years of global compensation experience including; broad-based compensation, sales incentive plan design, executive compensation, retail compensation programs, LTI plan design, stock administration and benefits programs.
  • At least 8 years of experience leading teams.
  • Experience setting up new countries abroad with appropriate pay and benefits programs.
  • Able to evaluate, design and recommend global compensation programs based on market assessments and business strategy.
  • Success in creating and articulating ideas and plans to both executive management and peers in the context of business priorities and needs.
  • An action-oriented personality, comfortable working at both strategic and tactical levels, and one who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to get things done, while remaining a collaborative team player.
  • Executive presence, one who possesses the depth of experience to comfortably interact with senior executives within the company and members of the Board of Directors, while remaining accessible to everyone.
