Truist is seeking a mid-level communications professional to support our Cybersecurity team. This writing-focused role involves close collaboration with Corporate Communications, Marketing, Functions, and Business Segments. Key responsibilities include:
• Contributing to communication plans and strategies
• Developing messages, presentations, and stories
• Writing and updating website content
• Coordinating with social media teams on messaging

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Develop and execute internal and external communications strategy for a business segment.
2. Develop proactive public relations to obtain positive media mentions on Truist products, services and purpose; leadership message development; spokesperson training; issues management; and internal communications at the segment level.
3. Serve as the primary point of contact for line of business and function leaders.
4. Provide communications counsel to lines of business on product introductions and certain client-facing messages.
5. Collaborate with the social media team on messages and issues.
6. Deliver internal and external communications through various channels and news media.
7. Plan content/messaging and graphics/videos for all hands, conferences, speaking engagements and events.
8. Create positive news to build the company's brand, advance our purpose, and promote our solutions and services.
9. Forge relationships with business leaders to gain knowledge, align communications objectives and goals with the business, and serve as a trusted consultative partner

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education and related training
2. 5-7 years of related experience
3. Demonstrated corporate communications internal and external message development and project management
4. Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills
5. Proficiency in using communications technology, video production and mass communications techniques
6. Ability to negotiate within a team and influence others at peers

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or English
2. Experience in Financial Services industry, or agency experience

3. Experience in Enterprise Technology with a focus on Cybersecurity.
