About the role

Are you ready to join a collaborative, results-focused team that enjoys helping businesses accomplish their goals? In this role, you'll report to the Chief Financial Officer, and primarily be responsible for providing strategic business analysis services to business partners by delivering analysis and insights to leaders to drive increased performance across the business.

A day in life includes being able to work closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Accounting to gain an in-depth understanding of the business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the rhythm in which the business operates. The focus of this position is to harness the power of our data to inform business decisions. This is a highly visible and key role in the organization and the incumbent should be confident in engaging with and presenting to the senior leadership team.

About the Role:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Strategic Planning and Support

  • Partner with the leadership team to identify high-impact opportunities that leverage extensive data to better serve customers.
  • Lead organizational development and implementation of scalable, data-driven solutions.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner for the Sales, Marketing, Product and Accounting/Finance teams.
  • Develop methods to continually verify dashboards are accurate and proactively report the status of accuracy to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational objectives, aligning business analysis with overall company goals.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements for projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Provide data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities.
  • Lead initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources

Data Analytics

  • Monitor existing metrics, analyze data, and partner with internal teams to identify process and system improvement opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve business analysis processes.
  • Perform SQL queries, updates, and scripting to support new feature development, defect fixes, and utilities for data migration.
  • Constantly look for improvements in data sources, data quality, and analytic techniques; build structure and process around data initiatives and requests.
  • Construct queries and develop reports on key business metrics for the leadership team.
  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the impact of strategic initiatives on the organization's financial performance.

Work Schedule/Environment/Travel:

  • This can be a work-from-home-based role in any of the following states: Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, New York, Massachusetts, Texas, Tennessee, Colorado, and Washington.
  • We offer a flexible work schedule.
  • Employees can also work from our Tampa, FL, Office if they wish.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent
  • 7 plus years of industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 4 plus years of experience in T-SQL, SQL, Python, and data warehouse technologies
  • Experience working on large-scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks; avoids getting caught up in unimportant details and "bikeshedding" (Spending disproportionate time and energy spent over an insignificant detail of a larger concern)
  • Experience in Analyzing large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
  • Willingness and demonstrated aptitude to learn
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with non-technical end users
  • Executive presentation skills

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Infor (or other CRM System), and MAS 500 Systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Service
  • Proficient with Microsoft Power BI
  • Familiarity with NOSQL Databases
  • Familiarity with Postgres Databases
  • Familiarity with AirByte, Airflow, or similar ETL
  • Familiarity with Docker containers / Kubernetes for deployment of services
