Warehouse Maintenance Tech II Full-Time 2nd Shift

Monday-Friday 3:30PM-12:00AM Full-Time Hourly Rate of pay $27.00-$33.00 based of skills and experience plus additional Shift Differential of $1.00
As a Maintenance Technician II, you will help our warehouse operations run smoothly by performing maintenance on various types of equipment. The Maintenance Technician II will be on call for emergencies and can handle multiple projects and daily activities and meet timelines.
Play an active role in helping your distribution center and your customer win:
- Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, brand circuits, lighting systems, transformer, and wiring methods and materials. This includes the ability to work with voltages from 24-volt DC up to 460-volt AC 3 phase.
- Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components – photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, encoders and quad packs.
- Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems, electrical and mechanical. Repair and maintain all Crown, Raymond and Hyster Material Handling Equipment.
- Deliver 100% compliance on all Preventive Maintenance Programs each month.
- Raymond Industrial lift equipment (to include turret, order picker, reach, stand-up, SDCB and walkie/rider trucks)
- Conveyor equipment (to include sorter, accumulation lanes, downsort lanes, and straight and spiral belts)
- Knowledge of Allen-Bradley control systems (to include photo eyes, proximity switches, and input/output modules)
- Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Ability to use electrical diagnostic equipment (to include digital and analog meters for AC/DC testing)
- Ability to fill out all work orders completely, concisely, and with proper technical detail.
- Ability to perform general maintenance on facility and ancillary equipment and passionate about safety
- Share knowledge and work efficiently with all other Maintenance Technicians and perform multiple projects
- Maintain good working relationships across all levels in the organization and provide enriched feedback
- Will need to pass mechanical and electrical testing and have the ability to be trained and MHE certified to operate power material handling equipment, i.e. Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, etc.
Essential skills and experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of strong electrical troubleshooting on Raymond, Yale, and Crown forklifts.
- 2 years prior experience as general maintenance technician or equivalent.
- Mechanical experience and knowledge of hydraulics, electrical and pneumatics.
- Experience and proficiency in the following areas:
- Automated conveyor systems and controls
- Electrical and electronic principles
- Blueprint and electrical schematic reading
- Must learn and operate our in-house computer Maintenance system Ruscomp.
- Industrial electrical, industrial electronics and industrial controls.
- PLC Program
- Industrial PC literacy
- Knowledge of N.E.C.
- Ability to lift, lower, push, pull or carry product up to a maximum of 100 pounds by hand, and work at average heights of up to 8-9 feet but up to 30 feet at times
- Perform moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity, regularly stand, walk, stoop, kneel, pull/push, twist, reach, climb ladders and crouch and ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
- Able to work with moderate noise level and operate warehouse equipment
- Demonstrated regular attendance and must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need
- Ability to work in hot environment of approximately 95 degrees F at upper levels during the summer and able to work with seasonal temperature variations
- Basic English language skills (both verbal and written)
- Compliant safety shoes with a steel toe cap must be worn throughout the entire shift
- Pass a background check and drug screen

Preferred skills and experience:
- Trade School/Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus on the Mechanical and/or Electrical field
- 2 years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field related to repairing and maintaining Conveyor Systems and MHE
