Clinical Pharmacy Specialist or Sr Clinical Pharmacy -Investigation Study

This role supports clinical research by managing drug protocols, implementation, and monitoring. Serves as a liaison with clinical trial groups and participates in educational programs related to investigational drugs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and address drug-related aspects of protocol development, implementation, and monitoring including assessment of protocol-specific treatment requirements and oversight of unique investigational medication/ treatment builds.
- Engage relevant internal and external teams (CRAs, investigators, industry sponsors, clinical trial groups) as required, from protocol development to implementation/ monitoring.
- Oversee all inventory management of investigational drugs, ensuring storage, procurement, dispensing, and disposal of investigational agents in compliance with regulations.
- Actively participate in development, implementation, and upgrade of strategies, policies, and procedures including short and long-term improvements to systems within area (e.g., medication systems, investigational medication management).
- Provide ongoing pharmacy resident training and supervision.
- Contribute to scholarly activities via publications, presentations, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
- Pharm.D. accredited by the American Council of Pharmacy Education.
- Certification by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties in a relevant area required within 12 months of hire. (e.g., Pharmacotherapy, Oncology, Nutrition Support).
Minimum Education and/or Training Sr:
- Pharm.D. accredited by the American Council of Pharmacy Education
Minimum Experience:
- Pharm.D. accredited by the American Council of Pharmacy Education with PGY2 residency or 6+ years at St. Jude or a comparable institution.
- Pediatric and/or oncology experience preferred.
- Proven experience in earlier role/comparable role.
Minimum Experience Sr:
- Pharm.D. accredited by the American Council of Pharmacy Education with 8+ years of pharmacy practice experience at St. Jude or a comparable institution, or PGY2 residency in relevant area (e.g., Clinical research: Investigational drug services; Medical safety: Medication use policy, Health system pharmacy administration).
- Pediatric and/or oncology experience preferred.
- Proven performance in earlier role.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by Law:
- (LC: PHARM-TN) Licensure by the Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by SJCRH Only:
- Certification as a clinical research professional with a national clinical research association (Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) or Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) preferred.
- Certification by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties in a relevant area (e.g., Pharmacotherapy, Oncology, Nutrition Support) preferred.
Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
