  • Location: Holy Cross Health has two hospitals and four healthcare centers all a short driving distance from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD.  Financial Services colleagues are primarily working remotely, with on-site meetings at the Columbia Pike office or other locations as needed.

  • The Provider Revenue Operations Liaison analyzes performance metrics and provides consultation, leadership and direction in order to enhance workflows and improve revenue performance in a physician office setting. Coordinates projects and demands a broad base knowledge of multiple operational areas of revenue management and/or seasoned knowledge in an area of specialization, field of concentration or discipline in order to understand business needs and the interrelationship of issues impacting the execution of project goals and objectives. Serves as a consultative resource and develops, establishes and manages relationships with executive leaders, key stakeholders, high-level professionals and decision-makers.

Responsibilities:

  •  Demonstrated competency in service excellence practices and Customer Resource Management (CRM).
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a team environment providing support to multiple positions.
  • Ability to resolve problems and complete assignments accurately and promptly.
  • Generates weekly reports to analyze data, prioritize opportunities and documents plans of how to improve revenue cycle metrics when the offices or billing are not meeting expected benchmarks
  • Must be able to set and organize own work priorities and adapt to frequently changing work priorities.
  • Uses internal and external resources to create timely and thorough action plans.
  • Collaborates with assigned site location(s)’ front office and billing colleagues to improve revenue cycle performance by reviewing weekly metrics, assessing root cause analysis, and developing/implementing action plans.
  • Develops and conducts general or specialized educational sessions for colleagues or providers, such as Billing 101 sessions.
  • Provides regular project status updates to customers and leadership especially when there are delays or challenges.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of professional billing experience and/or combination of hospital/healthcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience developing reporting and analytics for research, process improvement support and specific revenue management function.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding, reimbursement systems, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology/pharmacology, data collection techniques, and federal, state, and payor-specific regulations pertaining to documentation and coding.
  • Requires knowledge of physician group practice revenue cycle back-end functions including insurance claim submission, payment posting, denial management payment posting, and patient pay collections.

  • Broad-based knowledge of healthcare insurance, patient billing and collection practices, and at-risk and capitated payments.
