JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Sociology and Criminology at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park campus,  invites applications for part-time lecturer positions.

The position will involve teaching courses in Sociology and/or Criminology at the undergraduate level. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of a master’s degree (Doctoral Degree preferred) in Criminology, Sociology, or a closely related field.  Teaching experience is required.  

Adjunct Teaching Professors are expected to teach one to two courses per semester based on College of Liberal Arts guidelines.   Summer teaching opportunities may be available.

The start date for the position is August 2026.
