Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to lead and execute our comprehensive data governance program across the enterprise. This strategic role is designed for an experienced data professional with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data governance, data quality management, data cataloging, and data literacy initiatives. As the primary steward of our organization's data assets, you will establish and maintain foundational frameworks that ensure our data is accurate, accessible, and actionable.
In this role, you will serve as the central coordinator between business stakeholders, data owners, and technical teams to drive data standardization and quality improvements throughout our technology ecosystem. You will take ownership of critical data quality issues, particularly within our Salesforce environment and other key enterprise systems, while building organizational capabilities to prevent data issues at their source. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in data management with strong business acumen and change management skills to translate complex data concepts into business-friendly language.
This position offers the opportunity to shape how our organization leverages data as a strategic asset while building sustainable processes that scale with our growth. Success requires balancing immediate tactical needs—such as resolving data quality issues and establishing governance processes—with long-term strategic objectives like fostering data literacy and creating a self-sustaining culture of data excellence. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our data infrastructure meets today's operational requirements while positioning us for future analytical and AI-driven initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead Data Governance Program - Design, implement, and manage enterprise-wide data governance initiatives, working closely with data owners and stewards to establish data policies, standards, and procedures that align with business objectives
- Develop Data Standards and Business Glossary - Create and maintain comprehensive data standards, definitions, and business glossary to ensure consistent data understanding and usage across all departments and systems
- Manage Data Quality for Key Data Objects - Own end-to-end data quality management for critical data assets, particularly in Salesforce and other enterprise systems, including identifying data issues, implementing remediation strategies, and establishing ongoing monitoring processes
- Execute Data Cataloging and Discovery - Catalog and document internal and external datasets, creating comprehensive metadata and lineage documentation to improve data discoverability and promote data reuse across the organization
- Drive Data Adoption and Decision-Making - Promote the adoption and strategic use of cataloged datasets by working with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where data can enhance decision-making processes and business outcomes
- Lead Data Literacy and Culture Initiatives - Design and implement organization-wide data literacy programs, training sessions, and change management activities to cultivate a data-driven culture where employees understand the importance of data accuracy and enter correct data from the start
- Monitor and Report on Data Governance Metrics - Establish KPIs for data governance success, regularly assess program effectiveness, and provide executive reporting on data quality improvements, compliance status, and cultural adoption metrics
