Free UHD meal during shift
Purpose
Provide production and support for food preparation, which includes but is not limited to cooking, stocking, rotating, serving, and maintaining products within Housing and Dining.
Responsibilities
Serve food during the time the dining area is open.
Accurately identify food items, portion sizes, and meal combination packages.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Professional demeanor.
Demonstrated ability to receive, respond, and follow through with written and oral University Housing and Dining policies, procedures, and work-related instructions from supervisors, customers, and co-workers.
Ability to complete and maintain University Housing and Dining Food Safety Training and/or ServSafe.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Six months of experience preparing and assisting in the preparation of food.
Six months of experience preparing food in a high-volume commercial establishment.
Salary Range
$18.00 per hour
Working Conditions
Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished).
May work in extreme temperatures.
May work around electrical and mechanical hazards
Use of manual dexterity.
Climbing of stairs.
Climbing of ladders.
Pushing, pulling, and moving up to 50 pounds.
Exposure to heat and equipment common in a kitchen.
Work Schedule
Workdays, area, and work hours (19 hrs. max per week) may vary based on the needs of the unit and University Housing and Dining (UHD).
