Associate Manager, Facilities Space Planning (Onsite)

Job Profile Summary/Position Overview:
Facilities Space Planning Manager owns space planning for our Acton HQ and provides support for other Insulet sites as needed. The Facilities Space Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational management of workplace space planning across Acton office and manufacturing environments. This role ensures optimal space utilization, supports employee onboarding and seating logistics, and leads initiatives related to workspace configuration, labeling, and occupancy tracking. The position collaborates closely with Facilities, HR, and IT teams to maintain an efficient, compliant, and employee-friendly workplace.
Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities may be tasked, at the direction of Facilities leadership:
Own and maintain the seating charts and space allocation systems.
Own and maintain badge access software.
Coordinate with HR and hiring managers to assign seating for new hires and internal transfers.
Ensure all workspaces are properly labeled and equipped with necessary furniture and technology.
Partner with HR to ensure space needs comply with accommodation requests.
Monitor occupancy trends and recommend adjustments to optimize space utilization.
Supervise cubicle and office setups to maintain consistency and readiness.
Lead reconfiguration projects (Move/Add/Change) in response to org changes, growth, or relocations.
Collaborate with IT and Facilities teams to ensure seamless setup of workstations and shared spaces.
Manage relationships with vendors for furniture, signage, and space planning software.
Support facility moves and renovations by coordinating space layouts and seating transitions.
Track and forecast space-related costs and report to Facilities Leadership.
Ensure all space planning activities comply with safety regulations and accessibility standards.
Maintain accurate records of space assignments and changes for audit and reporting purposes.
Partner with HR, and IT to support onboarding, offboarding, and departmental moves.
Provide data and insights to leadership for strategic planning and real estate decisions.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirement(s):
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least 5 years’ experience in a corporate office environment or building maintenance position.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
• Experience in the medical device industry, and corporate office management is preferred.
• Possesses or can obtain the following certifications (training will be provided by Insulet): OSHA-10, First Aid, CPR, and AED Training.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite; including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Provide data and insights to leadership for strategic planning and real estate decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate at multiple levels of an organization.
• Ability to delegate and manage the work of others.
• Ability to organize and judge priorities.
• Ability to generate and maintain accurate records.

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $84,825.00 - $127,237.50. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
