Job Details:

General Notes

This position is a fixed one year term renewable based on performance, business need and available funding.

Responsibilities

  • Animal work to include mouse handling, husbandry, surgery, behavior, and tissue collection.

  • Molecular and biochemical work including gene, protein and enzymatic quantification in tissue samples.

  • Immunohistochemistry and tissue sectioning.

  • Collecting, organizing, and analyzing data and reporting results orally and in writing.

  • General lab duties including record keeping, ordering, preparation of stocks, and general lab organization

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, psychology or scientific-related field. Attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment and techniques. Demonstrated ability to carry out research. Some experience in a biological research lab.

Salary Range

$31,200 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions

  • Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished).

  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.

  • Use of manual dexterity.

  • Frequent weekend and evening animal care.
