General Notes
This position is a fixed one year term renewable based on performance, business need and available funding.
Responsibilities
Animal work to include mouse handling, husbandry, surgery, behavior, and tissue collection.
Molecular and biochemical work including gene, protein and enzymatic quantification in tissue samples.
Immunohistochemistry and tissue sectioning.
Collecting, organizing, and analyzing data and reporting results orally and in writing.
General lab duties including record keeping, ordering, preparation of stocks, and general lab organization
Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, psychology or scientific-related field. Attention to detail. Strong written and oral communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment and techniques. Demonstrated ability to carry out research. Some experience in a biological research lab.
Salary Range
$31,200 + depending on qualifications
Working Conditions
Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished).
