The Global Security Organization provides industry-leading cybersecurity and business protection services to TikTok globally. Our organization employs four principles that guide our strategic and tactical operations. In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office for 3 days a week, as directed by their manager. The Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance team is responsible for working closely with cross-functional partners to manage security risks to ensure we meet all industry cybersecurity compliance standards and government regulations through developing governing policies, implementing the security control framework, conducting security risk and control assessments, and staying up-to-date on global compliance initiatives.

As a pivotal member of the Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) team, the Cybersecurity Controls Assurance Manager will play a critical role in shaping and executing our security compliance strategy. This position is essential for leading the team in monitoring security controls, addressing identified gaps, facilitating external audits, and enhancing overall compliance initiatives across the organization. A robust background in security compliance, along with expertise in key standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and other regional regulatory frameworks, is crucial for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Development: Drive the maturation of a best-in-class cybersecurity compliance assurance program, focusing on continuous monitoring of controls, timely identification and remediation of control gaps, and implementing efficiencies that enhance compliance efforts across various products.
2. Control Assessment: Lead the assessments and improvements of our control framework, ensuring alignment with established security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI-DSS.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with key stakeholders, communicating effectively from both technical and compliance perspectives to ensure effective implementation of our security controls throughout products and business lines.
4. Education & Guidance: Provide guidance and training on security risks, control measures, and compliance best practices for product, engineering, and other teams throughout the business.
5. Audit Coordination: Oversee coordination of third party audits and streamline audit activities to reduce burden on security and business teams while improving control documentation and audit artifacts
