Come join the DES Team!<br/><br/>The Department of Economic Security, Division of Employment and Rehabilitation Services (DERS) strengthens Arizona communities by bridging and minimizing gaps to employment and independence.<br/><br/>DES is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Workforce Supervisor with the Workforce Solutions Administration (WSA). This position is responsible for providing leadership, coordination, and supervision of the daily activities of an operations team; setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion, and coordinating work activities with other supervisors. Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plans. Depending on assignment, leadership, coordination, and supervision are provided in an office environment or virtual environment for local or geographically dispersed teams.<br/><br/>Travel will be required for State business. If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on State business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on State business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code [A.A.C.] R2-10-207.11).</span></p>

<p><span>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:<br/><br/>• Plan and coordinate daily work assignments according to a system of management principles; provide direction and instructions to staff to ensure efficient operation of the programs in area of responsibility.<br/>• Perform recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management functions to maintain an effective and efficient work environment.<br/>• Attend and conduct meetings for the dissemination of information and program compliance. <br/>• Design and implement procedures to ensure office operations and services are effective and efficient to meet program goals. Confer with management to resolve issues.<br/>• Collect, compile, analyze, and submit data and correspondence timely to all Division/Administration requests.<br/>• Interpret rules, regulations, and policies, along with EEO and affirmative action mandates governing DOL/DES programs.</span></p>
