Responsibilities

In collaboration with the manager/director of Performance Improvement, the coordinator is responsible for assisting in the coordination, integration, and implementation of the organization wide performance improvement activities to ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal regulatory and accreditation standards. Activities include but are not limited to chart reviews, data abstraction for CMS Core Measures and other quality outcomes studies, and staff education regarding core measures and updates regarding new and enhance indicators.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1. Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related field preferred or equivalent of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role in an acute care setting

2. CPHQ certification preferred.

3. Completion of a minimum of 10 CEs in quality improvement topics.

4. Completion of webinars on the Bundled Payment Care Initiative and Comprehensive Joint Replacement Model on the CMS website.

5. State RN licensure or Certification in a healthcare field preferred.

6. Excellent computer skills are required including proficiency in (MS Office (Word, Excel).

7. Experience in reviewing charts for quality of care issues.

8. Detail oriented organizational skills.

9. Must be able to handle multiple cases, directions and be able to follow-through.

10. Good communication skills both verbal and written.

11. Experience with Medical Staff communication a must.

12. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills with exceptional professional work ethics.

13. Proficient in word processing, and typing.
