Raytheon is seeking an Associate Director, Requirements and Capabilities Sustainment and Services aligned with the Air and Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit (SBU) to coordinate business development activities and create new aftermarket sustainment opportunities to drive top line growth of Raytheon ASDS and Product Support product lines. The Associate Director will support business development efforts as part of a capture team. The Associate Director will be responsible for coordinating aftermarket sustainment solutions across multiple business units, to the Department of Defense and to international customers by leveraging Raytheon solutions and capabilities. This position is currently designated as fully remote.

What You Will Do:

  • Support of capture teams to include concept of support development, introduction of sustainment capabilities into a capture, identifying and developing integrated sustainment solutions to support a capture, management of New Business Investment (NBI) resources, conducting market assessments, customer relationship management development, and execution of capture strategies for external aftermarket sustainment opportunities in support of business unit growth targets
  • Be accountable for relationships and interactions with internal Raytheon program managers, US Government agencies, and international customers to develop new business, share information, and to immediately resolve issues as required
  • Work closely with other Requirements and Capabilities colleagues, international country teams, RTX Business Units, Raytheon Functional Partners, Life Cycle Engineering, Product Support, and ASDS programs as appropriate
  • Act as the aftermarket sustainment expert on U.S. Air Force and U.S. Missile Defense Agency Raytheon products
  • Establish relationships with Raytheon program management leadership, U.S. Air Force sustainment, U.S. Missile Defense sustainment, and international sustainment customer decision makers
  • Develop customer, competitor, and market understanding for assigned ASDS market sub-segment
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to determine U.S. Air Force, U.S. Missile Defense Agency, and international customer needs and generate aftermarket sustainment business leads by developing relationships and identifying and qualifying new opportunities
  • Develop and implement internal and external customer contact plans
  • Capture key customer and competitive knowledge and share it across the organization
  • Analyze customer information associated with product sustainment and develop customer hot buttons and key performance parameters
  • Work closely with ASDS program leadership, Product Support Leadership, Life Cycle Engineering Leadership, and capture managers to provide customer knowledge and strategic support for capture and proposal processes
  • Conduct internal and external customer briefings
  • Lead and support internal Raytheon Gate Reviews
  • Approximately 50% annual domestic and international travel for customer engagements and tradeshows

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 years government, defense, aerospace, or related industry experience, or an Advance Degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in government, defense, aerospace, or related industry
  • U.S. Air Force Logistics Officer or U.S. Army Air Defense Officer with radar technology experience
  • Government and/or industry requirements generation experience with U.S. Air Force and U.S. Missile Defense Agency
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date, with the ability to secure a Top Secret clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Understanding of U.S. DoD procurement, fiscal and regulatory environments
  • Business development experience with aerospace including familiarity with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) acquisition processes
  • Experience with Capture/Gate/Proposal Process
  • General sustainment management and/or U.S. Air Force or U.S. Army Radar and Air Space Deconfliction system sustainment experience
