About the job:
Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of a successful compliance auditing program to enforce our safety and health program, continuous improvement program and our grant program in addition to any other audit activity as defined by the Audit Plan or approved by the Division Director.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Develop a comprehensive compliance auditing program to include auditing scope and all resources needed to effectively audit programs.
- Perform necessary audits according to the audit program and by methods of professional auditing standards.
- Perform statistical analysis and audit critiques, evaluating potential risks and practices to avoid possible compliance issues.
- Provide detailed reporting of audit results and communicate to appropriate leaders.
- Recommendations of changes needed to address procedures and practices that are not compliant with requirements.
- Prepares monthly reports as directed.
- Produces and maintains other reports and logs as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt professional preferred or completion of Green Belt certification required within 6 months.
- Two years’ auditing experience.
- Keen eye for detail, with strong analytical and statistical skills.
- Independent multitasker with effective communication skills.
- Expertise in Microsoft Applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and be willing and able to learn new software programs as required.
- Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or other relevant field.
- Internal Auditor Certificate and/or experience with internal audit.
