You’ll work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and product teams to ensure our solutions are robust, well-integrated, and deliver tangible value.</span></p><p></p><p><b><b>What you’ll do for us</b></b></p><p></p><ul><li><p><span>Design and implement advanced algorithms to automate retail and supply chain decision-making.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Optimize existing solutions to ensure scalability and maintainability in production environments.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Contribute to internal libraries that integrate seamlessly with the o9 Platform</span></p></li><li><p><span>Support Data Scientists in applying your algorithms effectively</span></p></li><li><p><span>Stay current with academic research and bring relevant ideas into production.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>What you’ll have</b></b></p><p></p><p><b><b>Experience:</b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>5+ years of experience in the field of Machine Learning or closely related</span></p></li><li><p><span>3+ years of coding experience with either C, C++ or Rust</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with large scale solvers is a big plus.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with open source contributions is a plus. </span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>Education:</b><span> </span></b><br/><span>Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or related field or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Operations, or related field</span><br/> </p><p><b><b>Skills:</b><span> </span></b><br/> </p><p><b><u>Algorithms and Domain Knowledge:</u></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business challenges into well-formulated algorithmic solutions.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Familiarity with Supply Chain concepts (e.g., inventory management, promotions, demand planning) is highly desirable.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Language, Tools and Best Practices:</u></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Strong programming skills in Rust, C++, or C, with experience building performant, production-grade systems.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proficient working knowledge of </span>Python<span> for prototyping and interfaces debugging.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Solid grasp of professional software engineering practices including:</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Version control (e.g., Git)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Code reviews and collaborative development workflows</span></p></li><li><p><span>Testing and continuous integration</span></p></li><li><p><span>Familiarity with packaging, dependency management, and releasing production-grade libraries.</span></p></li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Characteristics:</u></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Strong presentation and communications skills.
