General Position Description: The In-Kind Donations Assistant collects and maintains in-kind donations.
Program Summary: Aviva responds to the needs of children in foster care by providing programs and resources to enhance their self-esteem and well-being as well as supplying necessity items such as clothing, shoes, blankets and personal care items.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greets donors, collects demographic information, and receives & records all in-kind donations.
- Assists with warehouse management, which includes but is not limited to, organizing the donated items, ensuring the closet and warehouse are stocked, and maintaining adequate inventory.
- Examines in-kind items to determine whether they are suitable for the closet.
- Works with other organizations or departments to move non-relevant in-kind items to other locations.
- Assembles items for distribution, including hygiene and cleaning kits for the resource center and backpacks for the Back to School event.
- Communicates with donors and assists in generating and compiling documentation utilizing varying systems for tracking (TEAMS, Boomerang, Qgiv).
- Participates in the process of ongoing professional development and meetings. Maintains comprehensive communication among all contacts within the agency, members, and external agencies. Models professional standards and ethics in accordance with EBF Code of Conduct, Strategic Plan, Mission, and Vision.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Associates or higher degree in business management, hospitality, public relations, or communication preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Regulatory
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Current, unrestricted AZ driver’s license with no more than two (2) minor moving violations or one (1) accident within the past three (3 years). Three (3) years of driving experience required.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an AZ DPS Level 1 fingerprint clearance card (employer provides).
- CPR and First Aid certification (Employer provides).

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation): Office environment with multiple interruptions in person and through computer and phone.
