This Host/Hostess opportunity is at our restaurant, One Bistro, located at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Norwood, MA! One Bistro is a critically acclaimed, upscale casual dining restaurant. Our restaurant's success is driven by delicious, affordable, unpretentious food made from high quality, seasonal ingredients served in an atmosphere featuring beautifully lit, contemporary décor and open-kitchen energy.

 

Shifts needed to fill in: As scheduled 10:30AM to 5PM or 4PM to 11PM (varies)

Responsibilities

The host/hostess primarily responsibility is to greet and seat guests in a friendly, gracious manner to set a positive first impression of the restaurant as guests arrive. Responsibilities include:

• Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner
• Ascertains their dining/lodging needs, seats guests and manage the seating chart
• Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
• Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
• Performs opening and closing duties, as needed
• Taking and maintaining reservations and the guest information database on the Open Table reservation system
• Taking/packaging to go orders
• Assists others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking and other tasks as needed
• Helps fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
• Cleaning and maintaining all menus
• Write daily specials

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1 year of restaurant experience preferred, but not necessary.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willing to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends, including holidays.

 The compensation for this position is $17 per hour. The position is eligible to participate in FM’s comprehensive Total Rewards program that includes an incentive plan, career development opportunities, flexible work, free meals, and Sheraton/Marriott employee discount at participating hotels after successful completion of assigned training.
