Job Summary
We are seeking an AEHF SME with deep expertise in AEHF systems and international partner coordination. Detailed knowledge of military SATCOM operations, satellites, payloads, terminals, MPSS, cryptographic, baseband equipment, and Protected MILSATCOM system design architectures, functional interfaces, and interoperability requirements. In this role, you will support the USSF by providing strategic analysis, technical evaluation, and operational recommendations for AEHF satellite communications. You will advise senior Space Force leadership on the AEHF architecture, interoperability with allied forces to support secure, resilient communications in contested and space-based environments

Job Summary

You will advise senior Space Force leadership on the AEHF architecture, interoperability with allied forces to support secure, resilient communications in contested and space-based environments
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as AEHF Operations Lead Oversee day-to-day AEHF mission planning and execution, ensuring protected communications are aligned with operational timelines, coalition requirements, and theater priorities. Coordinate with joint and allied stakeholders to validate AEHF access, terminal readiness, and contingency planning.
- Act as Mission Planning Element (MPE) Lead for AEHF Lead the development and refinement of AEHF mission plans, including satellite access requests, cryptographic coordination, and waveform configuration. Ensure MPE products meet operational needs across USSF and international partners and support real-time troubleshooting during execution.
- Conduct detailed performance analysis of AEHF satellite links Evaluate throughput, latency, and resilience under contested or degraded conditions. Provide recommendations for waveform optimization and terminal configuration.
- Coordinate AEHF interoperability with international partners Align system capabilities, certification processes, and operational standards with our International Partners. Support joint exercises and coalition planning efforts to validate AEHF integration.
- Support AEHF terminal testing and validation Assist in cross-domain security assessments, waveform compatibility checks, and operational readiness evaluations for AEHF-equipped platforms.
- Advise senior USSF leadership on AEHF modernization and deployment strategy Provide strategic insights on AEHF sustainment, architecture evolution, and integration with broader SATCOM enterprise initiatives.
- Contribute to AEHF-related working groups and standards bodies Represent USSF equities in joint forums, ensuring AEHF capabilities are aligned with future mission requirements and coalition interoperability goals
Required:
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility Required to access and analyze classified AEHF system data and coalition interoperability protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, telecommunications, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in SATCOM operations, analysis, or systems engineering With at least 5 years focused on AEHF architecture, waveform development, or protected communications.
- Demonstrated expertise in AEHF terminal operations, crosslink performance, and mission planning Including experience with MILSATCOM planning tools, waveform optimization, and contested environment scenarios.
- Strong understanding of coalition interoperability and international SATCOM standards Experience working with Five Eyes partners or NATO allies on AEHF integration, certification, or joint exercises.
- Exceptional communication and briefing skills Able to translate complex AEHF technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders and multinational stakeholders.
