WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Oversee assigned shift in residential setting.
  • Tasks include facility maintenance, food service, and supervision of clients during activities.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of clerical and record-keeping duties.
  • Assess and respond to potential critical situations, consulting with Program Director as needed.
  • Serve as a role model for clients, demonstrating appropriate behaviors.
  • Manage shift operations, including direct supervision and behavioral management.
  • Provide direct supervision for residents, including scheduling chores and assisting with tasks.
  • Report unusual behavior indicating potential problems.
  • Maintain order and discipline among residents, using Crisis Intervention techniques when trained.
  • Monitor residents’ whereabouts and notify authorities if necessary.
  • Lead group discussions and plan recreational activities.
  • Complete monitoring notes, runaway and incident reports, and client case records.
  • Handle clerical aspects of intake process for new residents.

Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED:


Education and Experience: High school diploma, 2+ years of direct work experience with adolescents. Work experience in a Residential setting preferred. Florida driver’s license and clean DMV record required.


Physical Requirements: Requires a high degree of physical activity including the ability to run, jump, bend, and stand for significant time periods (2+ hours), lift and carry 50+ pounds. The ability to travel on a regional basis as needed for training and transport.
