About the role
Description
Manage inventory of Joriki USA plant such as parts, tools and consumables for maintenance and projects using a computerized database system. The primary goal will be to maintain adequate stock levels to meet daily maintenance demands to minimize excessive downtime and preventative maintenance program success.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- ·Must ensure that the inventory recorded in the CMMS (COGS or other records) must be the same as that found in the spare parts room.
- Works with maintenance and project personnel to identify parts, material and any equipment needed.
- Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines.
- Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct number of items are in stock, daily, weekly or monthly.
- Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts.
- Review documentation and monitor item’s part numbers to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records.
- Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs.
- Generate and track purchase orders, suppliers as well to minimize the risks of downtimes for missing parts from warehouse.
- Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports, review reports monthly with management.
- Track maintenance department parts spending relative to budget.
- Ensures parts inventory is adequate in preparation of planned preventive maintenance events.
- Create new items and their physical locations in the warehouse. Modify quantities and maintain recommended inventory levels in coordination with the Maintenance Director or another authorize person from Maintenance department.
- Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
- Daily audit of all the parts used during the last shifts, to verify which parts were used in the CMMS (COGZ) and verify the real inventory to refill them if needed.
- Receive and organize all the parts ordered in the spare parts room and update the inventory in the CMMS (COGZ).
- Create a new part in the system and in the parts room if necessary.
Requirements
Excellent knowledge of inventory management software such as COGZ, SOMAX, MP2, MAXIMO, SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Good analytical and logistical thinking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional collaboration and negotiation abilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Education:
Minimum Required:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance department as inventory controller, buyer, logistics, or similar.
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, business administration
