SAP S4/HANA Basis & Security Specialist

We are searching for a dynamic and experienced Senior SAP Basis & Security Specialist with a focus on OpenText Integration to lead and support enterprise-scale SAP initiatives. This is a hands-on role for a trusted advisor with extensive experience managing SAP landscapes across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments, including S/4HANA transformations and Private Cloud migrations. OpenText integration and robust security governance will be critical pillars of this position.

What YOU will do:

 

Other responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Overall senior level SAP Basis resource with 7+ years of SAP Basis experience, installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, monitoring, and performing system administration tasks.
• Administer, support, and optimize SAP Basis systems across hybrid infrastructure (on-prem, cloud, and private cloud).
• Help migration of SAP environments to Private Cloud, with a focus on performance, scalability, and compliance.
• Drive end-to-end S/4HANA transformation projects, including readiness assessments, installations, and upgrades.
• Architect and implement secure, scalable SAP systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Integrate and support OpenText solutions within SAP environments to support document management and archiving.
• Administer and maintain system security, including user roles, authorizations, and compliance audits.
• Oversee system upgrades, patching, backups, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure high system availability and performance.
• Experience with SAP transport management configuration and troubleshooting.
• Must understand how to perform SAP system copies.
• Document architecture standards, operational procedures, and best practices.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Will need to perform tasks after hours as needed.

 

What YOU need to be successful:

 

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration.

• Experience working with S/4HANA migrations, system conversions, and greenfield deployments.
• Proven experience in OpenText integration with SAP systems.
• Deep expertise in SAP Security, including GRC, access controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or SAP BTP.
• Successful track record of Private Cloud migrations for enterprise SAP environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning abilities.

• Periodic responsibilities as a sub project or work stream leader.

 

This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A ‘U.S. Person,’ as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization. If hired, you will be required to provide valid proof of such status

 

 

 Preferred

• SAP certifications (Basis, Security, S/4HANA).
• OpenText certifications or demonstrable experience.
