Job Description:The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to provide comprehensive primary care services at Archer Family Health Care (AFHC), a nurse-led rural health center operated by the UF College of Nursing. This role involves delivering evidence-based, high-quality care to patients across the lifespan in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services including annual physicals, preventive care, and management of acute and chronic conditions for patients of all ages.
- Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and document findings and treatment plans in the electronic health record.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, communicate results to patients, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Perform clinical procedures such as skin biopsies, lesion removals, cervical screenings, IUD and Nexplanon placements, basic suturing, and incision and drainage.
- Educate and precept graduate nursing students in clinical practice.
- Participate in monthly team and provider meetings to support care coordination and quality improvement initiatives, including Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) projects
$115,000 annually
Required Qualifications:EDUCATION & TRAINING: Doctor of Nursing Practice preferred. Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
EXPERIENCE: two years of primary care experience, rural health care experience, precepting experience
KNOWLEDGE
- Understanding of confidentiality and the behaviors necessary to handle confidential materials
Knowledge of the EPIC electronic health record
SKILLS
- Excellent communication skills a must to work on a team and collaborate with care delivery.
- Excellent interaction skills
ABILITIES
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain consistently an effective working relationship with providers and staff Ability to work with the public in a courteous, friendly, and tactful manner
- Ability to understand and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Current CPR certification
Doctor of Nursing Practice preferred. Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
