Summary
The Security Manager will be responsible for ensuring that DSV's transportation and logistics operations are in compliance with security regulations and requirements. They will work closely with the security team and other departments to develop and implement security policies and procedures with the main objectives of protecting people, cargo, facilities, and brand reputation. The successful candidate should have extensive knowledge of security regulations and compliance requirements, as well as experience in developing and implementing security programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and requirements.
- Conduct security assessments of DSV's operations to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with the operations team to develop and implement security solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Conduct security training for DSV employees and contractors.
- Lead and support investigations into cargo theft, fraud, workplace incidents, and security breaches, coordinating with internal stakeholders, law enforcement, insurers, and customers as required.
- Stay up-to-date with security regulations and requirements and provide feedback to the management team.
- Conduct security audits and risk assessments of suppliers and vendors.
Educational background / Work experience
- A bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in security management, preferably in the transportation and logistics industry.
- Extensive knowledge of security regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with security management systems, such as C-TPAT and AEO.

Supervisory Responsibilities (if any)
- May supervise security personnel
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
- Experience with international security regulations and requirements.
- Familiarity with physical and cyber security.
Language skills
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
Computer Literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with security management systems.
